The project activities are developed in accordance with the established objectives, planned and correlated with the implementation chart, being achievable with project resources:
OS1Internationalization by promoting a culture of internationalization within the university – “internationalization at home” (L1-L6):
1.1. Developing a culture of “internationalization at home” by providing access to international experiences to those who do not frequently benefit from traditional international activities: presenting the personal experiences of the beneficiaries of international mobilities, training courses to develop a culture of internationalization and international and intercultural competences (L1-L3);
1.2. The translation into English of documents relevant to ensuring the internationalization of UPM:
- “PetruMaior” University Charter,
- The Internationalization policy,
- The Internationalization strategy of the university,
- Regulations concerning the incoming students’ professional activity in Erasmus+ mobilities(L2-L4);
1.3 Improving the foreign language competences of the teaching and administrative staff, as well as of the incoming/outgoing students:
- organizing foreign language courses (English);
- examinations with a view to granting the linguistic competence certificate (L4-L6);
1.4. Developing online / virtual international exchanges through the multimedia distance communication center and implementing blended learning initiatives with other European and international partnersof UPM, involving a high number of teaching staff / administrative staff (L4-L6);
1.5. Integration of UPMstudent associations into the Erasmus Student Network ESN (L5);
1.6. Revising the Alumni association’s strategy with a view to internationalization by means of:
- creating a section for international students;
- involvement in promoting study opportunities at UPMabroad;
- active support of intercultural and multicultural events (L3-L5).
OS2Internationalization of study programs, attracting international students and internationalization of students and of academic and non-academic staff:
2.1. Promoting study opportunities at UPM:
- promoting the educational offer for Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD levels in English by developing brochures for each faculty / study program, which contain distinct technical elements of promotion (professional competencies, relevant disciplines, career opportunities, research areas, statistics on graduates and the degree of professional insertion) (L2-L3);

- organizing periodical meetings with students and teachers participating in Erasmus+ programs: “Incoming Erasmus Preparation Seminar”, “Erasmus + in 2017” (L4-L6);
2.4. Intensive Romanian language course for foreign students (L4-L6);
2.5.Increasing the number of courses offered in English in the tutorial system:
- procedure for teaching courses in English in tutorial system for foreign students;
- conducting a study to identify foreign students’ favorite specializationsand the geographic areas with potential to provide foreign students (L3-L6).
OS3 Increasing the international visibility of UPM in scientific research:
3.1. Organizing a training session on project writing in order to increase research funding by accessing programs: Horizon 2020, EEA, bilateral cooperation, etc. (L3);
3.2. Creating networks of Romanian and foreign researchers – mixed collectives / research mobilities(L3-L6);
3.3. Improving the visibility of UPM research results by supportingthe publication of ISI / ERIH indexed articles, obtaining patents,
increasing the Hirsch index (L3-L6);
3.4. Purchasing books and publications to support documentary work – min. 18 books (L5);
3.5. Involving the guest researchers / visiting professors in various activities (L3-L6);
3.6. Organizing an international scientific conference (Inter-Eng), with 3 foreign keynote speakers invited from5 to 6 October, 2017 (L4);
3.7. Updating information on the ERRIS platform (L5);
3.8. Translation intoEnglish of the main pages of the research centers (L3-L5);
3.9. Improving the position of UPM in international scientific rankings (L6).
